The best thing to me about being a writer is that I get to choose what I write and how to write it. My genre is poetry and with poetry it is no right or wrong answer. It allows me to share my feeling, thoughts, emotions in a creative way. I can go as deep as I want. I can be as transparent as I want. I write for me. It’s my escape and my release. It my moment away from reality and then I just share that moment with my readers.

My most recent book Motherhood Chose Me came from me being a mother. I wanted to write and share something that would inspire other mothers. Parenting is hard and I wanted to be the encouragement and reminder that every mother is doing a good job. That every emotion and thought that they feel, I get it. They aren’t alone. You don’t have to be a perfect mother just the best mother you can be for your child(ren).
