This is easy!
That morning I woke up and my hand went to my pen and notebook next to my pillow. I wrote...and I wrote...yet no words formed!
The horror of not being able to write is perhaps the worst for any writer!

Though I would love to bring out a mile-long list, my summer reads, or any reads at all these days, entirely consist of the poetry books by Indie authors with a view to support them with my reviews. There isn't much time for anything else between work and my own writing.

If I could, I would travel to the world of Ayn Rand. Her writing really made an impact on me when I read it in my late teens. The quest for the ideal is something that is close to my heart and manifests in my love poetry...in creating an ideal world of love. Perhaps I would add that to the world that she has created.
Equally, I would love to go into the world of Robin Cook and help to foil the evil designs of whoever is the villain of the moment!

That's an interesting thing to ponder upon James.
I don't have that too often, however, to me the only answer to such a situation is to stay up nights until the diarrhoea is spent and the heart is sated at the same time! Every problem that results in a read-worthy creation is totally worth it. So, if you have it, give in and create. Let the muse take over...

Hi James
Thank you for the interst in my name. A sylph is an air fairy, an imaginary spirit of the air, also referring to a slender woman at times. I called myself Manic Sylph to define myself in a name. A little crazy, as all those who create are, perhaps, and a sylph, here, if you believe in me, yet not...if you don't, a figment of the imagination of a writer, a poem, if you will...
Also, the name is an oxymoron, which is again what I am, a creature of wild contrasts.
My name is in fact quite cosmopolitan, and belongs to many diffferent languages around the world.
A spoiler is a part of the story or of any work, that reveals the plot in such a way that it reduces or ruins the suspense or surprise element. It is like telling the reader who killed the protagonist before he has even picked up the book to read.
I hope I have addressed all your queries to your satisfaction.
The best to you!

Hi Marlene
Yes, spring is there someplace...
I agree, social media can be overwhelming at times, but the rewards of direct communication with the readers keep one going.
I wish you the very best in your writing, and in life.

A writer can be anything and everything through their characters. Its like having every dream come true all at once!

Write...and go on writing. Don't get discouraged by not enough audience, let your voice speak freely.

I am currently working on a collection of poetry about the beauty of love.

My inspiration can come from anywhere but most often it is a feeling that inspires the poem.

I see a lot of people hurting in love but unable to put their feelings in words. This is an attempt to give a voice to all who have ever loved and lost, and to let them know, they are not alone.
