I plan to begin work on a collaboration with my sisters, both creative and interesting individuals in their own right =) Superstition won't allow me to reveal anymore than that! At least, not yet...
But I will ALSO be working on the Sequel to "The Wonderer"... I'm not quite ready to leave Darby & Co. behind, so we'll see!

(view spoiler)[When I was sixteen, and had just finished reading the final wonderful pages of Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows, I turned to my mother and asked, "What am I going to do NOW??"
These were my best friends. I had adored them so fiercly that I had once taken steps to boycott a bookburning at the age of 8.
She smiled and answered, "You're going to write your own!" Mother really did know best...
Other inspo: I've always been interested in Fairytales, History, and folklore. The Wonderer turned out to be a delicious hodgepodge of all of those things! You'll spot historical happenings alongside the character's story like Wacky Cake, WWII, Rosie the Riveter, allusions to Houdini and more.
I also had a fascination for Magic and Magicians, especially Houdini, and then my research took on a 'Wonderful Wizard of Oz'/ L. Frank Baum bent... I had already began writing the story when I started research (a little backwards, I know =) But I was startled to see how the story began to weave together. And I'd never been in Central Park in my life, but when I began to look into the layout, I realized that I had described it flawlessly without actually realizing/naming it. There were also funny coincidences. Like Darby Gorman's name has been such since the start. At the point where I realized I wanted to draw the parrallel between her and Baum's main character (her favorite childhood heroine..Dorothy Gale) I thought it was peculiar they had turned up with the same initials!
The Baum's were definitley an inspiration for this, the final chapter is an homage to how/when Maud Gage (soon to be Baum) and L. Frank Baum first met.
Things like that made the writing experience even more magical... (hide spoiler)]
