Don't give up. Write often. Get some education, whether that is taking classes or working somewhere with other writers and editors you can learn from. It's a craft and you need to practice and hone it. When you decide on a genre, read all you can in that genre.

Being able to create something from nothing. One minute it's a blank page and then suddenly it's a book. Also it's fun to be able to entertain yourself. And I love connecting with readers and hopefully helping or inspiring them.

Writer's block is a real thing. Fortunately I don't get it. Every artist is different. I seem to be able to sit down and write whenever. But some very talented, hard-working writers do get writer's block and it's just part of their process.
