I think the best thing about being a writer is when the story or book I have been working on is complete. It is so satisfying to finally give characters, some of which have been riding in my mind for years, their story. I think of it as a homecoming of sorts for my characters.

Probably Keeneston, Kentucky from Kathleen Brooks' Bluegrass Series. My friend and I have been joking for years that we need to "visit" there. Keeneston is filled with strong male and female characters, romance, intrigue, matchmaking mamas and a million laugh out loud moments.
What would I do in Keeneston? I'd park my behind on a front porch somewhere, sip on the Rose Sisters' famous tea and watch the action unfold.
