Things that occur in life that we refer to as 'miracles'. Those one-in-a-million shots that work out in life. or go tragically wrong. We celebrate the ones that stand out as incredible, wondrous and impossible to imagine. And we shed tears when the worst happens. This is a common, and hugely popular, plot scenario that protagonist follow in story arcs to obtain or accomplish something improbable and surprising. With a few wild twists along the way and a bit of redirection, its a form of writing that I enjoy the most.

The history of the story 'Tristan and Isolde' was cobbled together from three Celtic versions obtained by the Romans under Caesar when they occupied Northern Gaul. Looking closer, I found that the origin stories were based on oral tradition and that the original characters were known as Drystan and Eselt. That's when I decided to embellish the origin story behind the mythology, as I have done in all the novels in the Worlds of Atlantis Series, and we have The Fallen.
