Laura Mae I really am enjoying it! It's definitely a roller coaster, but it's fun and I don't regret a second of it. I haven't traveled, no. Maybe once I write a few more books, that will be in the works. :D
Laura Mae It's going really well! I'm trying my best to get it into as many hands as possible! The word is really getting around.
Laura Mae Actually, It's only been about 3 months, but it feels way longer! It's been.. a rollercoaster. I love it though. It's something I never thought I'd be doing. Yes, I wrote it a long time ago, but never thought it would get published. Especially self published, and me doing literally everything. I wouldn't dream of doing anything else, though.
Laura Mae I take a break. If I'm just not feeling it and can't find the words, I have to walk away. Usually for about a day or two. Call me a nerd, but I do the same with video games. If I'm stuck on a part that I just cannot get past, I turn it off, and come back a week later. Usually I can figure it out then. It's a tactic that's worked in the past and still does. ...On occasion. Haha
Laura Mae I love creating people from thin air and then having this connection with them. Kind of like having a baby, I guess. The world, the villains, everything. I created it and I can do whatever I want with them. It's very freeing.
Laura Mae Another great question. My advice is, don't give up. Being an author and writer can be very hard work. But if you want to show everyone the story you've created with just a pen and your brain, you can't give up.
Laura Mae I am currently working on the sequel to Fliers, called Sparrows. I'm only about 4 chapters in but I'm loving it so far. I can't wait till it's finished and let everyone see. It's the second book in the Fliers trilogy.
Laura Mae Dreaming, books, television shows, video games, ect. If it has a compelling story, I will lock it into my memory banks and think of how I can apply that type of story telling into my own writing.
Laura Mae Great question. I love answering this too. I had a dream, about 8 or so years ago. That was it. A dream that I can still remember to this day. It felt so real to me and something I had to write about. And, here we are!
