Lilith Thorn The Becoming came to me when I was pregnant with my second child. I blame the pregnancy hormones. It started with Caleb, as I built his life, Niamh was born and took over the story line. I liked this part of her life, it was a good spot to build from. So innocent and sheltered, despite her dark existence. There was so much I could play with here, to create.
Lilith Thorn Hmmmm.... describing this process is a bit odd. It started when I was a child and afraid of the dark. I often saw scary monsters when I closed my eyes, so I started telling myself stories to block them out. It's a habit I've never let go of and now I've come to embrace those monsters.
Lilith Thorn I'm an active contributor to a collective blog called Empress Tea, so I'm always working on something for them. I am also working on the sequel to The Becoming.

Lilith Thorn I love the creation process. Building characters and scenarios and letting them play with each other until a story is formed... but I also love hearing what readers take away from the story as well.
Lilith Thorn It depends on where I am at that moment. Sometimes I'll surf the internet for music that feels inspirational to the moment I'm writing about. Other times I walk away and come back to it later... oddly enough, I also sleep on it. There is something about lying in bed, letting your mind drift.....
