I’m inspired by anything that makes my brain stop spinning for a second. Different textures. A unique laugh. Really intense weather. A conversation I had years ago. A conversation at the next table. And of course, reading, reading, reading! I believe in writing what you know but I think there’s a specific kind of power in pushing mental boundaries.

First, you have to decide what you want to write and what you want to do with it. There are a lot of avenues and they're all equally valid. Find what fits you, do a lot of research, and then do it. And in between all of those other things, write, write, write.

I'm currently working on the next book in my zombie series. It's tentatively called THE ISLAND, and if all goes well, it should be released spring or summer 2019. I'm also working on a YA SciFi murder mystery that takes place in a traveling carnival in near-future U.S.A. and a YA urban fantasy that takes place in modern U.S.A. and a separate magical realm!
