Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Andrew Alsup My most recent book came almost entirely from my life experience and was inspired by the topics I chose that resonated with real people I interact with, almost entirely through social media. People sometimes surprise me with what they react to, but I do always enjoy seeing my work bring people pleasure or inspiration as they read it.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Andrew Alsup I love to write because I love to pick a good word, and use it well. I enjoy noticing a style of writing when I read (for instance Poe) and I think I have a style too, but my style is to intrigue and keep readers wanting more.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Andrew Alsup I rarely get writer block because I write about things that people have expressed interest in, and I find that when I'm answering their questions, I just write form the heart.
