Rosemarie Chauvin I do something that is fun and takes me out of my head for awhile. At first it feels as if you will never unblock but it happens. I will play games, or watch a funny show on tv, or work in the yard to help unblock.
Rosemarie Chauvin Freedom of expression with no restrictions. It is also a form of therapy for me. It has been my goal in life to become an author. Unfortunately, family, and other responsibilities as a newly divorced parent put my dreams on hold.
I can't tell you the joy I felt to have my book become the number one best seller in two categories on amazon with the e book. I am humbled and blessed from the experience.
Rosemarie Chauvin Follow your intuition and never back down from it. It will guide you and give you the drive and determination to push forward. I had to learn how to market my book. This book is the second of two. The first one is a children's book titled "Bethany's Bike and Santa Jail". You can learn to write and be great at it; however you need the marketing skills that go along with it. I took so many writing courses over the years, but it wasn't until I took this course with self publishing school run by Candler Bolt that opened up the opportunities for success.
Rosemarie Chauvin I am working on the next book series as stated above. I think it would be fun to pen a book that we could all share our different funny experiences and perceptions as children. I would love my readers to be part of the book. We can learn so much from one another in sharing part of our culture, traditions, etc.
Rosemarie Chauvin Believe it or not, my mother used to make up stories and encourage me to finish the sentence and then she would expound on it, and we made up tales. Besides that, I always liked to read; it was also a form of escape from a tough childhood. I guess at some point I had to turn the tears to laughter.
Rosemarie Chauvin I worked with Kindergarten children for fourteen years. After retiring I began comparing my childhood experiences to those of today in the school environment. My inner child "Little Rosemarie" began to laugh as we compared notes and the strict traditions of the past; especially in my Italian Catholic traditions of "children have no voice and are to be seen and not heard" I decided that since I was out of the workforce, it would be fun to share the past to the present, and have Little Rosemarie tell her tale with her own perceptions and words.
