Kitt O'Malley I assume UK's NHS is better than the USA's private system. The US does not provide health care for everyone. Our public health system only helps the poorest. Unfortunately, those homeless due to mental illness fall through the cracks. The middle class is burdened with health care costs, even when insured by their employers. The affluent can afford co-pays and high deductibles often required by private insurance policies.

I receive excellent mental health care paid by Medicare for my bipolar disability.
Kitt O'Malley When I struggle, I write about it. When my mind races, I put those thoughts onto the page. Writing helps me cope with living with bipolar disorder type II. Writing helps me cope with loving parents living with dementia. Writing helps me cope with parenting a high needs adolescent migraineur.
Kitt O'Malley Sometimes freewriting helps. Writing with pen or pencil on paper. Letting myself have fallow times, times to relax, to recuperate, to recharge.

Kitt O'Malley I started blogging in September 2013 when my father-in-law was hospitalized for sepsis. The stress of possibly losing him and the absence of my husband as he rushed to stand with his siblings and mother, triggered hypomania. I had to write to get the thoughts out of my mind. I blogged to better cope with the crisis.
