The world around me is filled with stories. Watching a leaf float from a tree, what has that leaf seen, what is it feeling, where will it go now? Silly? Yes, but inspiration has not been a problem for me, turning it off is often the problem. Stories are everywhere, be quiet and let them invade your mind.

I do appreciate that writers do get blocked. I never have. I have too many stories attacking me day in and day out. My advice to those who suffer from this malady is to sit down and write. Don't think about what you are going to write, just write. Don't analyze what you are writing of think about where it is going, just write. Find the movie "Finding Forester" with Sean Conery, and simply write.

I do not make money writing, not yet. I am relatively unknown, so far. But my wife knows when I have not been writing, I get to be hard to live with. She sends me to my office to write. As the juices flow and worlds come to life, I become a much nicer person.

WRITE! Don't think about it, just DO IT! Pound the keys and let them take you where they will. You can always edit, but you must have something to edit.

Working title for my current project is "Treasured Adversaries." It begins on a day long ago when the birth of a boy and a dragon are effected by the deaths of both mothers. At about two years old they became linked when the dragon grabbed a wolf attacking the boys farm. The dragon became an Empress. The boy became one of the most talented wizards of all time. Their link caused many fortunate and unfortunate adventures.

When in physical therapy for a frozen shoulder, I needed to escape the pain. Being a true piper (great highland bagpipes) I retreated to stories about the Highlands. And they grew. My shoulders are somewhat better, too.
