Oh, this is annoying. I do three things:
1. Take a nap.
2. Take a bath.
3. Take a drive.
If none of those work, take a day and veg out with Netflix or my own TBR stack, then try again tomorrow.

I've been a writer my whole life. It's only recently I've become brave enough to chase the dream. So I guess I'd say the best thing about it is I'm no longer dreaming. I'm doing and in doing so I'm allowed to dream on forever, chasing one dream after another.

By life. I am an observer by nature. I love to watch people. I see things that I think, "Oh how sweet" and then the story starts to bloom.
I also write on emotion. I've noticed a lot of what I'm feeling or going through tends to happen to a character of mine. I want readers to FEEL something, anything! Get mad, get happy, laugh, cry, - whatever, just escape and feel your heart.

The idea was inspired by my daughter when she asked if we could help a young lady she knew. The young lady reminded me of a bird with a broken wing, needing a little help in healing and learning to fly again. From there I added bits and pieces from my own experiences in life to it. For example, my grandpa was a preacher - Paul & Fannie Pearl Edmondson - characters in the book(s) are also the real names of my grandparents.
