Generally I put some music on and just write. What I’m writing doesn’t matter, it doesn’t have to be anything good as long as it starts me off.
I don’t write in a linear fashion so if things really aren’t working I’ll jump to a different scene, different character even.

The idea for Shattering Dreams started after hearing people say they wished they were someone rich and famous who was just in the right place and right time. Who had everything handed to them without having to work at life. Mixed with the concept that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side despite how it appears. Everyone pays a price.

I think if I sat around waiting to be ‘inspired’ Shattering Dreams never would have been finished. Sometimes if I want to block out the world and distractions I’ll put music on while I’m writing.
