Taj McCoy El I continue writing. Even if it's bad you have to keep working. Sooner or later something will click and you'll be able to add life to the "dead" section of your writing.
Taj McCoy El The sleepless nights when you have to write because the ideas are flowing. you can't sleep because the ideas will disappear, much like your dreams when you awake. LOL
Taj McCoy El My advice for aspiring writers is, sit in front of your keyboard and tune out the world. Keep typing without editing until you finish your rough draft. Then, and only then should you be critical of your work. With a finished draft, you can go back and check continuity, edit, and make revisions. I suggest you do that at least 3 times and let someone else read it before you attempt a public release.

Taj McCoy El My then 11-year-old daughter and I were having a conversation about being stuck in a video game when the idea of parental filters popped up. We discussed cartoon-style violence and the lack of blood. The idea rolled around in the mad maze I call a brain and ruins of Majesta popped out after a year.
