It seems to me that the story would not end at this point of their lives. How did her crazy life go on as she matures?

Marilee Brothers Hi Anita,
After writing 5 books in the Unbidden Magic series and 1 stand-alone YA (Baby Gone Bye), my contract with the publisher came to an end. It would be fun to write a book about Allie Emerson as she matures - maybe I'll do it someday. In the meantime, I've just completed my first book in the Soul Seeker series. It is titled Affliction, and will be out on February 29th. I plan to write 2 more books in this romantic suspense series. It also has a touch of magic. Thanks for your interest in my books.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Marilee Brothers A New Adult book seemed like a natural progression from the six young adult books I'd written. And, I knew I wanted to set it in Bend, Oregon, one of my favorite places. Although I didn't intent it to be a fantasy, guess what? My new protagonist can read souls!

How do you get inspired to write?

Marilee Brothers I don't wait for inspiration. If I did, I'd never write a word. Once I start writing, the ideas begin to flow.

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Marilee Brothers Writer's block is fear based. You have to keep on writing. It's okay to write crap. You'll find a pearl of wisdom buried somewhere. Remember, it's not in concrete.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Marilee Brothers Love it when the creative juices flow, but the very best thing for me is hearing from people who have read my books. I answer everyone who contacts me through my website.
