Like most of my ideas, very randomly. I generally do my best thinking while driving or showering. So, I try to jot them down in notes or on a document on my desktop with plot bunnies to revisit. I can't say that there's one particular thing that inspires me though.

The ability/want/need to share my stories. I can take something and craft a story around it and share with people. It's pretty awesome to do that.

Usually, I just force myself to write. This doesn't always work, especially if I can't see where I'm going plot wise. But, I make myself sit down and write something. It might only be 100 words, but if I can start, I can usually continue and blast through it.

Keep writing. So long as you're writing, you're a writer. You also need to find what works for you as a creative space. Do you need music? Silence? Once you figure that out, it's a lot easier to work on writing.

I'm working on a book that revolves, somewhat, around baseball. The main male protagonist plays baseball. The female protagonist works in publishing. They meet while volunteering together.

I subscribe to a music service and find playlists that go along with what I'm writing. My current WIP has baseball in it, so I've been listening to baseball music pretty frequently.
