April C Royer When struggling with the direction to take one storyline, I shift gears and start working on a different story all together for a while. It takes the pressure off while letting my creative side stretch its legs a bit and that often gets me back to a place of being ready to embrace my main characters and get them back into play.
April C Royer Hearing readers discuss my work as if the characters, places, and events were a real part of their life. To hear and feel their connection to the world I created is the most incredible feeling I could imagine.
April C Royer Let nothing and noone make you feel like writing is anything less than a wonderful way to embrace your creativity. If you have the stories within you then let those characters and worlds come to life! You can learn to be a better writer and storyteller by studying the craft, but your stories can come from no other but you and it is your job to tell them!
April C Royer When not consumed with being a chemistry professor trying to give my students my best, I am working to get The Caretaker into the hands of more and more readers so they can get lost in the adventure along with me. Between various events, and maintaining the various aspects of an author platform, I am beginning another fierce edit of Book 2 of the series for release next summer.
April C Royer I have always had an overactive imagination with stories running around in my head. I was labeled as hyperactive and a discipline problem in school because of it. My love for asking why led me to science and that took me to college and grad school. But even after marriage, becoming a chemistry professor, and having an amazing child of my own, the stories are still there. Getting inspired to write is simply making tome to sit down and do so. It is a wonderful release to let my creative side take control and to get lost in a world of my own creation.
April C Royer The Book of the Caretaker series has been a work in process for many years. I can honestly say that I kinda stumbled into Chemerie when I finally found a break in life and decided to sit down and start writing. it started with a smart, strong-willed, imperfect yet selfless, young woman and my desire to give her an amazing adventure in a world far removed form our reality on earth.
