J.C. Rudolph I wanted to write a book where my daughter was the heroine. Leah Allyne is my actual daughter's name and a lot of the character's idiosyncrasies come from my daughter. I wanted to write about her doing something fun and exciting, not a book filled with teenage angst. And I couldn't think of anything more fun and exciting then finding out you're a princess from another galaxy and having to save multiple universes. :)
J.C. Rudolph I just think "what if?" I send positive energy out to the universe and observe. Family is also an inspiration. I want to pave the way for my children's creativity. I want them to have a healthy life balance so I lead through example.

J.C. Rudolph Do it! If you never sell a book and only you and your family like it, just do it for the intrinsic reward. We are so busy these days that we don't crave out much time for ourselves. If you have that creativity within you, let it out even if it's just for you!
J.C. Rudolph The best thing would probably be seeing the characters come to life and develop personalities of their own. You're writing as this other person who may do something completely different than you would so you have to stray from your comfort zone while writing it believably (is that a word?). Each character is a creation.
J.C. Rudolph I walk away and never force it! Thankfully, I don't have traditional "dead lines" so when an idea hits me I can go back to writing so that it will flow freely, naturally.
