I'm not too sure where the idea came from. I think I thought it would fun to have children with special powers. And then thought - what if they weren't suppose to have those powers, and the plot grew from there.

Keep writing every day if you can. It might mean that you have to go back and tear up what you've done sometimes but it keeps you practiced in the art.

The best thing about being a writer is that, with fiction, you can create your own world where your characters take on a life of their own.

I find the way to deal with this is to have a break from writing - maybe a week or so. This lets your subconscious sort things out so the plot is straight in your mind. Then when you come back to it you have a better chance of continuing with the story.
