Currently learning (or trying to learn) how to get people to actually read my book. Seems like the biggest thing I can do is publish more. In that case, I have a few short stories ready to be edited, a few still being written, several more to begin, and finally, a "lost chapter" from Arnesto Modesto that I always wanted to write, but didn't.

Do it. Do it do it do it doit doit doit doitdoitdoitdoitdoitdoitdoit.
In all likelihood, your first attempt won't be a success, so have fun with it. Write something short if that helps. Write it for yourself, your significant other, your child, or your grandparent with Alzheimer's. Make all the mistakes new authors make. If you enjoy the process, you'll keep going. If not, you won't. But at least you'll be able to say you made something.

NEW (11/2/18) Seeing a new rating/review. Every now and then I'll refresh the page and see a new rating and/or review. Knowing someone out there read something I wrote (and based on ratings so far, enjoyed it) makes me giddy. Thank you, rock star raters and reviewers!

When I finally get tired of the pacing back and forth, I follow the advice I read somewhere (Stephen King maybe?): just write. Muddle through, write *anything* no matter how awful, and keep going. You can always come back and clean it up later.

I actually touch on this in the book, but I use to lay awake at night wondering what would happen if I suddenly found myself (1) back in homeroom in high school and (2) two days before 9/11. Finally, something clicked and I realized I could connect the two and voila! Arnesto Modesto has that happen to him (in a way).
