I fortunately don’t really suffer from writers block; I never struggle to develop a story or know where to go. I feel lucky (also, slightly like a cheat), in the sense that for me the stories are just there in my head; my mind can come up with a story in seconds and it will be all ready, all thought out, just waiting to be typed. I do some times suffer from what I would call writing fatigue, not so much tired of writing; just tired in general. At this point I can stare at a computer, here the characters, see the landscape, know the motives and understand the plot, but I am still, hands frozen not to type. When this happens, it’s simply a matter of shutting off my mind, doing something mundane (watch TV, play battlefront), sleep and attack that chapter another day!

I love the buzz when I get a question about my story/stories. I like reviews (mainly the good ones), but when some engages with me about my writing, when I am asked why someone acted that way? Or why did that happen? Or will this and that happen; will he die? I find the questions more thrilling than any review; it shows a genuine investment in the story, it demonstrates that the story has impacted on them in some way – that’s when I feel that the story has done it’s job.

Keep writing, keep believing, do as much for yourself as you can, seek professional assistance where you can, and don’t stop; everyone has a story to tell and there is at least one person out there that will want/need to hear it!

I am currently working on some short stories for a TV Production called Seechers! Check it out. It is an amazing project to be involved in and I have met some truly inspirational and talented people. The story behind Seechers is something I am passionately working away on and I genuinely feel that if you’re a Sci-Fi fan, you’re going to love it! I am also, slowly getting through the second "The Phoenix Chronicles' novel (I’d say I am over half way through now)... so plan to get that published by the end of next year. I also, when I am not writing on those two projects, I am tinkering on a couple of screenplays (one fantasy, one drama).

I am always and have always been inspired to write, I class myself as a storyteller and feel that my mind is filled with stories. It’s not so much how do I get inspired to write, it’s more how do I get the time and energy to write. I find writing the stories that only exist in my mind down on to paper (onto word), really liberating and fulfilling.

The idea for the book (The Phoenix Chronicles: Alone in the Light) has always been in my head. The details of the story have always just been there, just at the edge of my thoughts and reflecting on them has given more meat to them. Writing them down after talking to friends has been an excellent way of freeing them from my mind. All six stories have just existed; I first recognized that they were there in 2007, that's when I started to write them down.
