Just give it time...even the toughest writers block can be overcome but clearing your mind and giving it some time to breath. I always have a few projects on the go so I can juggle back and forth if I'm stuck on one. Always have something to record your idea as soon as it pops into your brain or it will be easily lost when the next idea pops!

Inspired by my own multiracial background, MIXED CRITTERS is a children’s book that serves as an introduction to mixed race identity through the blending of various animals. I created this ABC picture book as a way to help educate readers, like my mixed daughter Yuki, to be proud of their multiethnic heritage. Through the various depictions of hybrid animals from A to Z, I hope that young readers are encouraged to discover and discuss their own mixed ancestries with their parents.
