My little labraoodle puppy Brady is a mini-doodle and was the runt of the litter. He was sooooo small and insecure when we got him. He always followed me everywhere and when it was story-time for the grandkids he would hop up and listen too. The kids and I started telling stories about the little labradoodle and the idea for the Series was born.

Stories about my kids and grandkids, things they love or stories we imagine together. I love imagining things with them and we have fun creating all kinds of new stories. The hard part is figuring out which one to put into writing next!

We are just finishing the final files for Puppy Pickup Day and have a few additional books in the works with new authors and also the next book in the Little Labradoodle series. I am also working on putting a curriculum around the Little Labradoodle children's book that helps kids learn about publishing and creating the storytellers of the future. It's wonderful!!!

Since I write children's books, the best thing is when you get to see others enjoying the book and really loving it. My biggest critics are my grandkids - so this also gives me lots of time with them.

Sometimes you just have to step away. I love spending time with my grandchildren or going for a walk. Getting my mind off what I'm doing helps me to clear my mind and get the creative juices flowing. Another trick is to light a scented candle from a scent I really love. It relaxes me and help me to think more clearly.
