The idea came years ago, but I did nothing with it. I think the very first concept behind the SCC was from a vivid dream I had, I woke up and thought I would love to read a story like that. The idea lay dormant for a long time until I built up the courage to give writing a real try. When I did give into my imagination it was the best thing I could have done and my mind is so much clearer for it.

Different things, sometimes its a particularly colourful character I meet, or some bottled emotions I've been storing all day that can cause me to 'brain dump' everything. Other times its very small everyday things that inspire me. I do have a schedule for my writing, I don't always stick to it, but I try to be strict and I always play music when I'm writing.

Currently, I'm working on the third and final instalment of The Seelie Court Chronicles. I think I'm struggling more with this one than the first two because it's the last one. It's like sending your youngest child to school for the first time, it's very daunting.
