THE SEARCH FOR SASQUATCH came out of the first season of my podcast, Wild Thing. I had done two years of research and reporting about a relative of mine who was a Bigfoot expert and also a well-regarded scientist. That all went into the podcast, which was aimed at adults, but then I started to hear from parents who were listening with their kids and teachers who were using elements of it in their classrooms and realized there was an opportunity to write a middle grade, nonfiction book!
