Vickie L. Gardner Not very well. However, when I have writer's block on one book, I turn and work on another. Often, in this process, something breaks loose and I am able to go back and push through the walls in my other story. Just keeping at it eventually reaps rewards.

Vickie L. Gardner I am currently working on the third in the series to The Adventures of Darby, currently titled "Darby's Polk Dots and Pretties. Second in the series, Darby Meets Tall Town is currently with the publisher in the edit process. I am also attempting to finish the sequel to The Ghost of Morgan Gulch. This has been a challenge for quite a while and I hope to be able to finish the book before the end of 2021.
Vickie L. Gardner As I read multiple Nancy Drew novels as a pre-teen, I developed a desire to write mysteries and fiction. That's where it started and over these many, many years since then, I have become more serious and finally branched out and found the courage to publish.
Vickie L. Gardner The idea for Darby and the Dollberry Dare stems from a visit to Dollberry Holler near Scotsborough, Alabama. As I started writing an outline for the story, which originally includes bank robbers, I somwhow turned the story into an early reader fantasy novel that didn't include humans or bank robbers, but m'ites from the small village of Dollberry. The rest is history...
