Hi Lenore,
Thank you for your question. When forming the ideas for the ladies of The Goddess Tribe, I drew inspiration from the women in my family as I was growing up. My grandmother and her sisters were lovely southern ladies who valued personal style, a well-decorated parlor room, coffee in a fancy cup, and dessert.

I get writer’s block from time to time and I have a few ways of dealing with it. First, I call my sister and just discuss my ideas (or lack thereof) with her. I read for inspiration. But most importantly, going to the water. When I need inspiration, I meditate at the beach. Being an Aquarius, the water bearer sign, something about water is very centering for me.

I worked for years as a web designer and internet marketer. What I love about writing is that I have total creative freedom.

Don’t second guess yourself. If you are passionate about writing, make the time for it. If you need classes or coaching, make that a priority and spend the money. If it is important to you, you will find a way.

I am inspired to write by many things, first and foremost is by the challenges that I have had in my own life. I also gain great inspiration from reading, meditation, and just chatting with my sisters.

I got the idea for The Goddess Tribe from a project that I was working on about two years ago. I was preparing a seminar for women’s empowerment based on various New Thought principles. As I was writing the course materials, I became bored and uninterested and I thought, “If I’m not enjoying this, how am I going to interest anyone else.” A few days later, the idea for The Goddess Tribe came to me all at once, renewing my energy and sense of joy.
