Suraj Laxminarayanan Hi Raunak. Thank you for the question.
The major theme of the book revolves around crime, the thrill and fear that accompanies it, the development and after-effects, and the turmoil every individual involved goes through. It's
a witty and comical read that recounts absurd life situations and how one’s fate leads to a contrary state altogether. There are several more themes which are depicted in a subtle manner which include leadership, teamwork, thinking on your feet, relationship building and business strategy.

Suraj Laxminarayanan Thank you for the question. The book is just fiction but the characters in the story are inspired by real characters.
Suraj Laxminarayanan Thank you for the question.
I feel the best thing about being a writer is to create a world purely through words and possibly images to help the reader forget reality and immerse into the fictional world.
It also feels great to see your book on bookshelves across stores and to see people read and experience one's creation.
Suraj Laxminarayanan Thank you for the question.
I get inspired by reading other books and watching movies across languages and genres. I am also fortunate to be part of a family that travels a lot. This provides exposure to different cultures, geographies and peoples across the globe. I started with journaling my journeys, documenting the various places visited, the description of the local people and the peculiar practices followed everywhere.
Suraj Laxminarayanan Thank you for the question.
There is a lot of advice which has been shared by several writers and each of them is valuable. However, I personally feel that the most important thing that a writer should focus on is to have a core group of beta-readers who will provide constructive feedback about the writing. This plays a huge role in improving as a writer and ultimately increasing the quality of the work.
Suraj Laxminarayanan Thank you for the question.
I usually take a break and watch a movie or read a book. It helps me to relax and appreciate the creativity behind the movie or book. It then inspires me to get back to my work and try again.
I also play tennis at a nearby academy for recreational purpose. It helps me to forget about everything and come back fresh to start again.
Suraj Laxminarayanan Thank you for the question.
I want to take one thing at a time. At present, I am in the process of getting my book published and learning from the experience. My future attempt at writing would revolve around the intricacies of human behavior and relationships.
Suraj Laxminarayanan Thank you for the question.
It was in 2011 during a lonely trip from Bangalore to Chennai that this idea suddenly popped up in my mind. I was travelling to my grandmother’s house for the festival of Pongal, a trip that we make every year without fail where all relatives come together to celebrate the three day festival.
I took the bus to Chennai on a working day and the vehicle was only half full. The seats around me were vacant and the TV inside the bus wasn’t working. It was a largely silent ride where I also had no music to listen to on my phone. The idea suddenly popped into my head and I loved it. I spent the whole six hours of the trip thinking about it. From there on, I worked on that idea for the next six years.
I have been interested in self-help books and the psychology of crime. Crime movies and mysteries always appealed to me. The unexpected twists and turns in the books I read and the movies I watched fascinated me. Hence, I was sure that I would write crime related subjects. Accordingly, I made an outline for the book in that journey.
Suraj Laxminarayanan Hi Rajnish. The book will be released by mid-August. Thank you for expressing interest. I shall keep in touch.
