I will have a cuppa and watch a TV show. Currently I'm using Fear the walking dead to help with any writers block

The best thing is knowing that if your story can entertain one person then you have done a good job.

Just write. Use the internet to get your short stories out.
I use Wattpad where I write fanfic and short stories as it helps hone my talent for certain "scenes" in my adult fiction books.
And I use my Wattpad to promote my books too, by putting teaser chapters on for my followers

Currently I'm working on Origins.
This story was originally meant to be out before Cowboy Dreams but I had put it on the back burner because a TV show called Stargate: SG1 came out. As the story line was so similar I put it away.
Then another show called SGA (the spin off to SG1) started and I realized that the main character in it was very similar to Joe Sheridan in the book. So on the back burner again.
Now I'm back to writing it, as there are only a couple of chapters left until it is finished.

I can just be sitting having a cuppa and inspiration will hit. It could be anything from a conversation I'm having with my husband and daughter to seeing something on the street
