I'm currently working on a novel about an actor/performance who struggles with being creative and playing it safe. To be honest I wonder if anyone will want to read the finished product since stylistically it's fairly experimental.

Well, when in the flow of it, it can be exhilarating. It is a great way to figure things out and an opportunity to express a vision of the world and life. One also gets to make things up as long as they are TRUE.

At times I struggle when I've taken a break (vacation, etc.). I lose my rhythm so to speak, but I learned that I just need to press on and the flow will return. It usually takes a few days but I've written for long enough that I trust the rhythm will return.
