Dealing with writer's block is tough if you allow it to be. This is where self-discipline comes to play. If I'm ahead of my deadline, I'll take a break from writing and meditate about where I'm going with my story. Mediation usually helps. On those days when I'm running behind my deadline, reading a novel from the same genre helps as well.

The best thing about being a writer is accomplishing a goal to see your creation in book form. It's a great feeling!

My advice to aspiring writers is to just go for it! Don't pay attention to anything that may discourage you. Just do it and be self-disciplined enough to keep putting energy towards putting your thoughts into a great book. I think it's also a great idea to network. If you're looking to be a best selling author, it's difficult to do it alone if you don't have many resources.
