I was an agent for celebrity stylists in Los Angeles and spent a good deal of my time fielding questions from aspiring makeup artists, hair stylists, fashion stylists and manicurists who wanted to break into the biz and work behind the scenes in print, video, film and TV. My goal was to write a 16 page manual that would help artists put their portfolios together. When I was done, the first book was 180 pages. This new one is 380.
