Curtis Urness The mystery in my life is a spiritual one. Why does God care for me and bless me when my life has been anything but saintly?
Curtis Urness Hello, Danusha,

I'm really bad about checking my messages here. Sorry to take so long to reply.

I'm taking a hiatus from Facebook because of the censorship -- my attempt at protest, I guess. I didn't drop out because of your post. I'm just really burnt out on the political stuff. I don't think America is in a good place now. The assault on free speech by Big Tech is outrageous. No private businesses should have that much power.

I will probably reactivate my account next month, just to test the water. Facebook is really a valuable tool to keep in touch with old friends like you. Too bad it's taken an Orwellian turn.

Curtis Urness I would love to go to the 17th Century Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth world of Pan Michael by Henryk Sienkiewicz. I would want to be a knight protecting the Commonwealth from Turks, Tatars, Ukrainian rebels and Russians. I would ride the length and depth of the country from the Baltic Sea to the Turkish border.

Curtis Urness I'm working on a novel that follows the lives of one family after a tragic brush with an EF-5 tornado. That storm is the historic Ruskin Heights Tornado that hit Kansas City in 1957.
Curtis Urness I'm a day dreamer. I day dream about a scene or a character and then build that into a story.
Curtis Urness I grew up in a Polish American neighborhood where many former Displaced person resided. I heard many of their stories about the concentration camps and slave labor. I've always wanted to write about this subject.
