K.A. Grayson The Mists of Avalon. Having been to Glastonbury Tor, the Abbey, Chalice Well Gardens, and Tintagel, I've already dipped my toes in places of legend. As for what I'd do if I were in that book's version of things, I'd travel to the Isle for training of course and happily live out my days in a beautiful, spiritual haven.
K.A. Grayson You're going to probably doubt yourself a LOT, but keep going. Write what you love to read and let it be for you, not others. You won't write something that appeals to everyone anyway, but you CAN write something that appeals to your niche and do wonderfully at it. Trust yourself and your stories! You've got this!
K.A. Grayson I'm actually contemplating a full read-through of my fiction and non-fiction library. It'll definitely extend beyond 'summer reading' but I've been thinking more and more about doing it and leaving ratings/reviews on them here on Goodreads. If you follow me, you're going to see a LOT of occult books. Fair warning. lol
K.A. Grayson My most recent book, Wild Card, is part of a continuing story so there really wasn't 'an idea for it' per se. Its purpose is to tell more of Rachel's story (and that of some other characters along the way.
K.A. Grayson Creating your own world. Even if it's set in the current one, no one can describe it and make characters live in it like you can. You have the freedom to do anything you want. The possibilities are endless.
K.A. Grayson I don't need to 'get' inspired. I already am on a daily basis. The regular 9-5 annoys the heck out of me because I'd rather be writing than dealing with mundane things. I'd write full-time if I could!
K.A. Grayson If it's really severe, I go back to the beginning of the book and get a 'running start' on the part I'm stuck at. Another way I deal with writer's block is to take a notebook and write the scene from another character's perspective. And, if all else fails, I take a little break and do something else for a few hours/days, then return to it.
K.A. Grayson As of 8/21/18, I'm working on Book 2 of The Kendrick Chronicles: Private Islands. Hoping for a release date in early 2019!
