Conor Newman There's no such thing. Its in your head. Writers block is when you decide not to write because what you have to write isn't good enough. This is self defeating. Even if you have nothing good to write, still write, it'll be cut out or rewritten in editing anyway, writing bad material is still better than writing nothing. Its all practice, it all helps improve your flow and your style.
Conor Newman Picking up your book, printed, published, hold it physically in your hands and then sit down and read it! It's an incredible feeling when your story is finally done and you can read it like any other book on your bookshelf.
Conor Newman Write! Everyday, even if its only a paragraph, write! Even if its rubbish, write! Even when you are down, when you have no motivation, no inspiration. Write! Never go a day without writing something. Its like any other art form, the only way to get good is practice.
Conor Newman Currently I'm writing a book that is set in the same world as Shadowblade, its happening in Parallel to the events of Shadowblade. There will be a crossover later in the two series. After this I intend to write the sequel to Shadowblade.
Conor Newman All kinds of things inspire me to write, my crazy daughters, my strong and amazing wife, but also simple things, like driving through a forest, I daydream. I see bowmen in the trees, assassins hiding in the shadows. These become the basis of scenes in my books.
Conor Newman Well, a few years ago I got quite sick, developed an immune disorder that put an end to my career in IT. It took away my choice. It occurred to me that in most adventure novels the main character is the same, a chosen one, or forced somehow into a life of adventure. So using my daughters as inspiration, I wrote this where it was the other way around, the MC chose the life.
