The idea for the book I'm currently drafting (Project Cameroon) came from the current civil war in Cameroon which started in 2016. There are a lot of significant events happening and I think they need to be recorded. In addition to that, I've always wanted to write a book set in my home country so this was the perfect opportunity for me to do it.

I think a lot of things inspire me. Mostly through lessons God has taught me about myself and about His character. Also I get inspire by the work God does in the lives of others. I get inspired by nature, music, books, and movies :)

I'm currently drafting my second novel which is an adult contemporary christian fiction set in my home country--Cameroon. It is a story about love, war, and the sufficiency of God's providence :)

I would say there is no "best" time to start. Just write. Make a start even though you can't see the whole stair case. Take the first step and God will take care of the rest. Also find yourself a community. There are so many other writers out there and you don't have to do it on your own. Find your tribe so you can encourage each other and keep each other accountable :)

For me, I think it is such a privilege to partner with God and work side by side with Him, bringing words to life and letting Him use those words to impact the lives of others for His glory. It brings me much satisfaction to see God's name glorified in that way :)

When I'm struggling to write, I pray to God for inspiration because He is my source of creativity. Then I spend time with Him in His word. I take walks, and go for a run as I've found these to help with bringing ideas. I also watch a lot of YouTube videos of other writers talking about their projects and this helps me get excited for mine. Finally, I make novel aesthetic boards on pinterest and listen to my book playlists to get me into the writing mood :)
