Honestly, bits and pieces of it came to me in a dream. I thought it would be amazing if I put it to paper because I wanted to see where my imagination would take me.

I get inspired by reading other books. For instance, I'm a BIG J.L. Drake fan along with Meredith Wild and Sylvia Day. I will read one and go, "damn, that was amazing! I need to write something just as good, if not better (I wish)."

For me, I love that I get to create a story that nobody has heard before. Being a self-publishing author, I literally do everything myself. Writing, creating the cover... everything. It does take some time but in the end it is worth it because I can officially say, "I DID IT!"

Honestly, I don't think I have had "writer's block"... more like "laziness." My problem is I get so busy and caught up in my life that when I get a chance to sit down and relax, I decide to read instead of write. I need to force myself to do the opposite sometimes.

Write what you want and do it all the time. Even when you aren't in the mood, write. Sometimes the best ideas come at times you don't expect them to.
