My best advice for aspiring writers is to write about what excites you. If you are interested in the topic and regularly seek new information about it, your focus and desire will always be fueled.

Being able to express life lessons, insights, and encouragement has always been an interest of mine. As a writer, I am able to do so in an exponential way.
Topics for writing are only limited by one's interests and desire to learn.

This is a universal question. There are certainly times when I feel less creative. I'd first start with the encouragement to reframe the thought which will immediately shift your energy; rather than a block perhaps see it as a pause.
It might be a good time to stretch, hydrate, walk around, change your location, do some research on your topic, or even find some new music. I find that classical music inspires me. I set a timer for 30 minutes to an hour for writing sessions. LOTS of water and good lighting also increase my focus and flow.
