I loved the idea of a perfectionist. Someone who loves lists and has their own schedule, so I thought long and hard about my narrator's job. I've always loved weddings and thought that a wedding planner would be perfect job for Nora. It is set in a small beach town called Bridgeport, which I got the inspiration from Holden Beach, North Carolina.
