I wanted to write something with a bit of mystery in it, and I started with the idea of a special book that someone stumbles onto and it just went from there.

I always know where I'm going with the story, not always how I'll get there. Most of my blocks aren't blocks but more deciding how the story will be told best. I don't dwell on it I just brainstorm, when I have several ideas I start writing and see which idea wins.

I think the next exciting moment I have built up to that on the horizon of the story keep me wanting to unravel it and keep going. Storms and the outdoors help me get ideas and be in the mood as well as playing a certain music while I write.

I am working on book 3 of Regeneration. I'm excited to write this book and culminate the series. I am also excited to write the other ideas for books that I have.

Start writing! I know many friends that tell me they'd love to write or even have several ideas but haven't written a word because they don't know how to start the story. Just start writing and it will start to flow.

You get to be in the drivers seat of the story, instead of a passenger and make it yours. Even though the story sometimes takes on a mind of its own. :-)
