Wesley T. Allen I’m not good with my hands, so there is very little in the physical realm I can make which gives me a sense of pride. Most things I touch tend to fall apart. When I write a story I get to share these worlds I make up in my head and say, “I made this.” And then I know what a master crafter must feel like as they gaze upon the works they’ve wrought.
Wesley T. Allen I am mapping out the sequel to Penny Gnomes, “The Darned Conspiracy.” It’s a lot of fun because it marks the first time I’ve used Aeon Timeline from the outset for a project.
Wesley T. Allen I daydream. A LOT. Anything can trigger my dreamer state — a kitchen utensil, a TV remote, the structure of grass, a puddle, even a video game. When the dreaming starts, I begin writing stories, trying to come up with the logic of the place.

This isn’t without its drawbacks. When I was growing up I could dive inside my own head so deep my sisters could be shouting at me for minutes before I was aware of it. They called it “Wes World.” I still visit.
Wesley T. Allen When my wife and I were dating in college she was getting ready to go out, but couldn’t something she needed. As she tore apart her dorm room I looked down and picked up a penny, which I held up in triumph while declaring, “The penny gnomes took it! Look, they paid for it and everything!”

It took over two decades to form, but that’s where the ball got rolling.
