A.A. Lewis I listen to music. Everything from Hip hop, R & B to jazz, Rock and Roll to Country. Old school and New school artist. Songs to me are the ultimate storytellers. There is a song for every emotion, event and occasion. So when I can't write, I find a song that puts me in the mood and relaxes me. Besides chances are I'm over thinking something, but when the music is playing, I find the freedom to just let things flow and this process works for me.
A.A. Lewis I enjoy the creative freedom it brings. Being able to ser out and live through the characters and experience things through their eyes and emotions. I think I've learned so much about myself every time I write.
A.A. Lewis Just do it. There is no right or wrong when telling your stories. Write because you enjoy writing and telling your stories. Don't do it for the money, but for the love of the art. And remember, there is someone out there waiting to hear what you have to say, so just write it.
A.A. Lewis I just finished the second installment in the 716 series called The 716 Back to Business. It will be released early February 2019. I have started working on a new stand-alone romance thriller entitled "A Walk Along the Path". I hope to release this book early summer 2019.
A.A. Lewis I have always been creative with an overactive imagination. I have always believed that everyone has a story to tell, we just have to be willing to listen. So while this is my first published work, I've been writing for a long time. I get inspired by my surroundings, people I meet, places I visit and music.
A.A. Lewis With The 716 series being my first published books, it was a story that I’ve wanted to tell now for 20 years. I was so scared to just be free to write about something that could be so real. So the genre chose me. The series was inspired by the music I listened to growing up. It was the ‘90’s and hip hop and R&B were in full swing. It was so raw and diverse. The music always told a story. The beats and lyrics would grab hold of you and make you feel some kinda way. Every song had a memory attached to it. And out of all the music and the characters I had created in my mind, this series was born.
