I'd go down to the Shire. Nice and quiet and peaceful, and agriculture-based. Honestly, I just want a peaceful life.

Write. Write some more. Listen when people tell you what to work on. Nod. Then write a lot more. And don't give up.

I don't really get it. Stories grab me by the throat and run. I try to keep up.

The boys live in an America where your ability to be who you are depends entirely on the values of the founder who created the Corporation you're born into an employment contract with and their heirs. If you're born on ZonCom land, you can be and love whoever you want as long as you produce good work. But if you're born in AgCo, they will publicly execute you for your 'immorality' should you step out of their rigid line.
If Aidan were to see the present day, he'd be shocked that there was such an open debate, and fairly depressed that this free and robust discussion with all its points of view was stifled. Kevin, the student of history, would pick up a paper and start cynically pointing out the warning signs hinting at what would come...if he didn't exclaim 'Oh my god I've read about these!' and trot off to stare entranced at our geegaws and epherema. Which is more likely...

Good question. You'll be seeing the unit get back to work now that they're pulled together again, being assigned to the high-level missions Command believes they're best for. Beyond that, here's 5 elements of the story.
1. Hypnotic holographic Christmas advertising
2. Electrified brass knuckles carried by a girl who knows how to use them.
3. A rewrite of Romeo and Juliet in which nobody dies and a lot of people get laid.
4. The proper application of arak and bad karaoke.
5. Turning the weapon of social media against the corporations who run it.
