Ella Hayes Hearing that a reader has enjoyed my work. Writing is hard, so a little appreciation goes a long way, especially if a reader rates and reviews my books here!
Ella Hayes Sounds obvious, but make sure you're writing... it doesn't have to be a big project as long as you're writing. You won't always love it, but keep going, keep evolving. Also, read a lot.
Ella Hayes Two things. My fourth story for Mills & Boon and a full length novel - a coming of age story - set in Scotland.
Ella Hayes Inspiration comes from everything - listening to people, watching them. As a photographer I've been in a lot of different situations with all kinds of people, so if I search my memory bank, I can usually find a little spark to set me off!
Ella Hayes I was a wedding photographer for 15 years, so my own experience of shooting a wedding on the Amalfi Coast definitely influenced Italian Summer with the Single Dad. Whilst I was in Italy, I visited Ravello and promptly fell in love with it. I knew straight away that the town would make the perfect setting for a sunny, summer romance. I incorporated a lot of what I saw there into the story, and my heroine, Olivia, is a wedding photographer. I like writing what I know!!
