Hi Catherine,
Thank you for your question. The books are not standalone but continue on to the next book. Although I originally intended New Dawn’s Light to be a trilogy, at this point, I am planning four books to complete the series.

I’m currently working on the second installment of my trilogy, NEW DAWN’S LIGHT.

Music is a huge inspiration in my writing. When I hear a song that reminds me of my characters or situations in their story, I can almost visualize it. That compels me to write.

Five years ago, my husband bought me a tabletop rpg for my birthday. We played for a few weeks, but life got in the way so the campaign ended. A couple of years later, our oldest son suggested trying it again after my husband lost his job. We made up new characters and began a new campaign. After a month our son quit, but my husband and I kept it going until it turned into more of an interactive story than anything else. The characters became almost real after awhile and, before I knew it, we added more. The interaction helped me really get inside their minds, and I decided that their stories needed to be shared with the rest of the world.
