The best advice I can give aspiring writers is to READ, READ, READ! The more you read the better writer you will become. But don't get so involved in your reading that you don't leave yourself time to write. Carve out time for each. Make both habits you enjoy!

Everything inspires me! A walk outside. A magazine article. A book I'm reading. Watching the children in my family. An exchange with students during a school visit or while teaching a class. Those moments often trigger book ideas.
