Jeremy Martin Honestly, writing is such a unique and individual experience. I used to try to soak up the advice from all my favorite authors and absorb as much as I could, but I've come to realize that just because it work for so-and-so doesn't mean it will work for me. Some authors think writer's block means you aren't writing the right story, something isn't working in the plot, etc. But for me, writer's block is just a sign that I need to fill back up with stories and content that inspire me.
Short answer is that everyone's solution to writer's block is individual.
Jeremy Martin Reading negative reviews of your book.
Jeremy Martin Pfffft. Nothing. I wish I had the creative ambition that so many other writers seem to have, but right now, I don't. I think I hit such a major goal in my life (being a published author) that the aftermath of realizing my dream has messed with me a little.
All I'm saying is that dreams are weird, creativity is weird, but I know another story will come to me. Eventually.
Jeremy Martin Thank you so much! I am happy to say that there is a sequel in the works! I hope you will enjoy it as much as you did Foreign To You :)
Jeremy Martin I was inspired by Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and Princess Mononoke to write FOREIGN TO YOU!
