Miles Nelson Hi Flo - thank you very much! Yes, I can see your review and I really appreciate it! I am working on the third book right now also.
Miles
Miles Nelson My first book, "The Privilege of The Dead", was inspired by my fantasy of hunting down and killing corrupt or a@@holish corporate people. (NOTE that this is only a fantasy - I have not killed anybody and do not plan to!) My second book, "To Die No More", which is a loose sequel, is more sprung today's headlines.
Miles Nelson I have been inspired simply by having a story in me that I wanted to "get out", or to get down on paper. While writing can be very hard work, I am lucky that for me it isn't terrifying.
Miles Nelson I am currently working on my third novel, which will be a departure from the first two. It is a small town murder mystery which takes place in a somewhat altered version of Cape May, NJ. I hope that it is at least a little bit suspenseful and scary!
Miles Nelson This is a tough one. For me though, the best thing I have found is simply to force myself to start writing something, even if I'm not sure exactly what I want to write. I have found that if I start the physical process, the creative juices start to flow. There are certainly times when it doesn't work, and at those times, walk away and do something else for a while.
Miles Nelson This will sound elementary, but... sit down and write. Or stand and write if that works for you. Don't be paralyzed by not knowing exactly what to say or how to say it. Believe me, you are going to come back and make changes ten times or more, so just start. Go ahead and write it "incorrectly". Start the process and you may find that it takes on a life of its own.
Miles Nelson Donald Trump was elected president. Many people think that's a good thing.
Miles Nelson I'm not sure if this would count as another world, but, one of my favorite books is Ian Fleming's "Thunderball". (I am a very big James Bond fan.) Almost all of it takes place in The Bahamas. I'd like to visit Nassau and some other locations - but in the 1960s!
Miles Nelson Hi Flo! This is Miles. Thanks so much for reading the book(s) and for telling me that you liked it! I really appreciate getting feedback. If your question is referring to Goodreads - you just use the "Search Books" search bar up at the top of the screen. Then, when you are on the page for the book, scroll down a bit to the area with any reviews. Just to the right of my picture there is a button that says something like "Write a Review". I haven't actually done that, but I'm sure you fill in a few fields and then there must be a Submit or a Save button or something close to that. If you are referring to Amazon, you just go to the book as if you were going to buy it, scroll down to the reviews. There is small graph-like thing showing 5-stars, 4-stars, etc. At the bottom of that is the button to write or submit a review. You can use any name you like. It is NOT required that you have bought the book from them, but it IS required that you have an account with $50 spent in the last year. If you could please, do that for both books on Goodreads and Amazon - that could really help if not too much trouble! Also - you can email me at milesnelsonauthor@outlook.com. Thank you Flo!!
